ENGLISH FOR NATIVE SPEAKERS

The subject of English has always come naturally to me. In addition, I had good training: I took both AP English classes in high school and scored 5s on both AP tests. I am also certified to teach AP English Language and Composition. I then took graduate level classes from the English department in college. I am also a fervent reader of English literature. If your child is struggling in their English class, don’t worry! I’ll be there to help them out. I am ready to help with intensive exercises. I will supplement the teaching tools they have in class with custom-written worksheets, writing prompts, and reading plans all tailored to your child’s specific needs in grammar, literary analysis and rhetoric. Moreover, I will teach students how to critically think about the texts they read, once again using custom-written materials to lead them toward analytical proficiency. 

I am also able and willing to teach college-level English writing! My creative writing major, experience in graduate-level English classes, and experience writing a senior thesis have left me well-equipped to teach college students as well as high school ones.
